Social Skills Group Spring 2023

The Children’s Center for Psychiatry, Psychology and Related Services is offering a Social Skills group facilitated by Terri Samuels, MS and Marsha Glines, PhD. Groups are designed for students ages twelve through fifteen and will take places Mondays from 5:00-6:00pm. Groups will focus on developing positive relationships, improving healthy coping skills and facilitating social communication.

Mondays March 6th, 13th, & 20th 5:00-6:00pm In person at The Center.

All Supplies will be provided. Cost Per Session: $100.

Session 1:

Activity - Vision Boards and Journals.
Creating these in a group provides an opportunity for our participants to self reflect and identify and incorporate positive goals for the future. Sharing these goals in the group shows commonality and provokes great conversations!

Session 2

Activity - Me Trees.
This values activity requires participants to identify and create a representation of those attributes and strengths they have achieved or developed while also looking to the future for what they hope to accomplish in 2023 and beyond!

Session 3

Activity - Grow and Flourish
Our group will create representations of healthy patterns using an individual holistic art creation.
